In commemoration of World Glaucoma Week 2024, the Ophthalmology Study Program of Udayana University, in collaboration with IOA Bali, will host a series of activities to raise public awareness about the importance of early detection of glaucoma. This event will take place on March 17, 2024, at Badung Market, Denpasar.

The planned activities include:

  1. Glaucoma Education: Ophthalmology residents from Udayana University will provide information on glaucoma, its risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early treatment to prevent blindness.

  2. Free Intraocular Pressure Screening: This service aims to detect the risk of glaucoma early.

  3. Funduscopy Examination: This examination is crucial to evaluate the optic nerve's condition and detect potential damage caused by glaucoma.

  4. General Eye Check-ups and Consultation: Participants can directly consult ophthalmologists for other eye health concerns.

This event is free and open to the public. Through these activities, the organizers hope to encourage the community to take better care of their eye health and seek medical attention promptly if experiencing symptoms related to glaucoma.
