APOTS 2024 Held in Bali: Outstanding Achievements by Udayana Doctors and Trainees

Bali hosted the Asia-Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma Society (APOTS) Meeting 2024, a prestigious event gathering ophthalmology experts from across the Asia-Pacific region. This event provided an excellent platform for Indonesian doctors and ophthalmology residents to shine on an international stage.

Congratulations to the Indonesian representatives for their remarkable achievements at APOTS 2024:

  1. Dr. I Wayan Gede Jayanegara, Sp.M(K) won 1st Place in the Video Competition. His video showcased an innovative technique in ocular trauma management, entitled "Silent Threat : Unveiling the Hidden Perils of a Devastating Eye Injury."

  2. Dr. Krisnhaliani Wetarini (Ria) secured 2nd Place in the e-Poster Competition. Her poster highlighted serial cases in managing ocular bee-sting injury, entitled "Managing Ocular Injuries from Bee Stings: Insights from Four Cases."

  3. The Ophthalmology Resident Team (dr. Kevin, dr. Ernes, and dr. Ria) emerged as champions in the Battle for Trainees Competition. This contest tested the participants' academic and clinical skills, which the Indonesian team excelled in.
