Purpose

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Ophthalmology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University aims to become an educational center that produces professional, competent and high-quality ophthalmologists who are able to apply and update knowledge, skills in the field of eye health and have high character, have high dignity and are able to establish themselves as role models for the community and their professional organizations to support equitable distribution programs and improve the quality of health services for all Indonesian people.

SPECIAL PURPOSE

Based on the vision, mission and general objectives to be achieved in providing specialist doctor education, the Ophthalmology Study Program is:

1. To produce qualified and highly competent ophthalmologists with roles and characteristics as: Care Provider, Communicator, Decision Maker, Manager, Community Leader, plus Researcher
2. Improving the quality of educators who become consultants and or doctoral graduates as well as improving adequate, quality higher education infrastructure facilities to support the implementation of the "Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi" with national and international competitiveness
3. Increase the number and quality of research to produce innovative and tested works that are worthy of publication in the field of eye health sciences through an inter or multidisciplinary approach to develop knowledge and technology that are recognized nationally and internationally as well as beneficial to society and science
4. Have good study program education administration management in accordance with the principles of the "Badan Layanan Umum" (BLU)
5. Prepare and assist the distribution of ophthalmologists in Indonesia.
