The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, proudly hosted a special guest lecture featuring the distinguished Prof. Ahmed Sadiq, a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specializing in Cataract and Oculoplastics, and a Visiting Professor at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. This guest lecture was held on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Prof. Ahmed Sadiq delivered an engaging and in-depth discussion on oculoplastic surgery, covering cases such as Ptosis, Blepharospasm, and Hemifacial Spasm. This event not only provided an opportunity for Udayana ophthalmology residents to expand their clinical knowledge but also served as an interactive and inspiring forum for discussion.

In the additional sessions, the program featured case presentations and discussions on Thyroid Eye Disease by Dr. dr. Putu Yuliawati, Sp.M(K), as well as a session on Necrotizing Fasciitis presented by Dr. Ni Putu Laksmi Utami, M.Biomed, Sp.M(K).

This event was designed to enrich the knowledge and skills of residents and consultants alike. It is hoped that the lecture will encourage knowledge and experience exchange between local and international experts, thereby enhancing the quality of oculoplastic healthcare services in Indonesia.
