On March 20, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University will host a special event titled "Ophthalmology Guest Lecture." This event features two renowned experts in ophthalmology, Dr. Ron Pelton, MD, Ph.D, and Prof. Prem Subramanian, MD, Ph.D.

Dr. Ron Pelton will present two engaging sessions: "Simple Entropion and Ectropion Surgery" and "Simple Blepharoplasty," designed to offer practical insights and the latest advancements in eyelid surgery. Meanwhile, Prof. Prem Subramanian will deliver lectures on "What Should We Know and Do in Eye Movement Disorder?" and "Strabismus Surgery in Restrictive Thyroid Eye Disease (TED)."

In addition to the lectures, the event will include case presentations by ophthalmology residents and Dr. I Ketut Aryawan, SpM, enriching the clinical discussions. A wetlab on oculoplastics will also be held, covering eyelid and lacrimal trauma surgery, entropion and ectropion surgery, as well as simple blepharoplasty. Participants will have the exclusive opportunity to join an OPD tour at Prof. Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar to meet patients with challenging cases and consult directly with both experts.

This event not only provides valuable academic insights but also offers a platform to enhance clinical skills in managing various ophthalmologic conditions. All practitioners and students in the field of ophthalmology are invited to attend this extraordinary event.
