The Election of the Chairman of the Ophthalmology Residents Period of July-December 2022
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, all resident doctors of the Ophthalmology Study Program at Udayana University, participated in the election of the Chairman or “Lurah” candidate for the July-December 2022 period. The election events were conducted hybrid and broadcasted live via Zoom and Instagram Live. All active residents voted for the chairman election, with 4 main candidates, consisting dr. Pande, dr. Cok Winny, dr. Winly, and dr. Adji.
Voting began simultaneously, beginning with the introduction and presentation of each candidate’s vision and mission, which takes place from 02.00-04.00 PM. Vote counting was carried out and witnessed by all residents. In the initial round of elections, the percentage of votes that exceeded 50% of the voting participants was not obtained, so the second round of elections was held, by setting aside the 2 candidates with the most votes, namely dr. Pande and dr. Cok Winny. The newly elected Chairman of Ophthalmology Resident is dr. Pande Made Gustiana, replacing dr. I Gusti Agung Ratna Noviantari.
The event was ended with testimonials and messages from the previous and newly elected chairman, as well as a group photo. Hopefully, the election of the new chairman will lead our residency family to be more solid, harmonious, and continue to develop in education and community service. Congratulations, dr. Pande Made Gustiana and the entire member Ophthalmology Residency Doctors Board July-December 2022 period!
