Participation in 71st Anniversary of IDI Denpasar

Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (Indonesia Medical Association) Denpasar Branch commemorated their 71^st anniversary by hosting a full month of festivities, filled with online and offline activities as well as numerous competitions open for public and doctors or members of the board. IDI Denpasar brought about a very powerful thematic message upon their anniversary: “Semangat Indonesia Pasca COVID-19, Menuju Kemandirian Bangsa di Bidang Kesehatan”. There were several competitions revolving around the theme, being held from October 2021, such as: Essay Competition, TikTok & Instagram Reels Competition, PhotoVoice Competition, Drawing Competition, Podcast/Short Comedic Video Competition, and so many more. The peak day of the anniversary was held on November 14^th 2021. The event was first opened by the Mayor of Kota Denpasar, I Gusti Ngurah Jayanegara SE, followed by online webinar inviting guests, speakers, and audiences from national scale, with the topic of “Kesiapsediaan Tenaga Medis Menghadapi Dibukanya Layanan Kesehatan Internasional di Bali”. It was also the awarding day for winners on each competition, which Ophthalmology Study Program had the chance to participate in.

 

The residents were glad to be given the chance to express creativity and some of hidden talents in the aforementioned competitions. To just name a few, we participated in: Family Photo Competition, Comedic Video Competition, TikTok and Instagram Reels Competition, PhotoVoice Competiton, and Singing Competiton. The residents took extra time outside service hours in the hospital to prepare and shoot for the competition. The competition was mainly online and the judging process was carried out using videos to be later posted in their Instagram official account @hut71_ididenpasar. The participants were encouraged to seek supports from online friends, colleagues, and media to leave “likes” and “comments” in consideration to help winning the prize.

 

Upon the day of the awarding, the residents of Ophthalmology Study Program successfully snatched the 1^st and 3^rd place in TikTok competition with the winner namely dr. AAA Putri Prematura Sri Anasary and dr. Cok Istri Winny Prabasari, consecutively. Another winning comes from Comedic Video Competition on the 2^nd place with the team leader dr. Made Kusuma Wardani. All winners had received prizes and certificates. We thanked IDI Denpasar for the fun opportunity and wished success for the future of the organization.
