The Ophthalmology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held an online meeting entitled "Travel and Eye: What We Should Know about" which the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University, Dr.dr. I Komang Januarta Putra Pinatih, M.Kes was gave the opening speech and welcomed the participants. This activity is one of the flagship programs of the Ophthalmology Study Program in the field of Ocular Travel Medicine. On that occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University expressed his appreciation to the Ophthalmology Study Program which has carried out this international webinar because this activity is also in line with the "VISI" of Faculty of Medicine Udayana University to produce excellent, independent and cultured graduates who are able to compete both regionally, nationally and internationally. This activity is also the "MISI" of Faculty of Medicine Udayana University in its flagship program, Travel Medicine. In addition, this Travel Medicine program is only available at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The purpose of this online seminar is for all health practitioners to be more concerned and have more knowledge about travel health. This is also supported where Bali is still a favorite travel destination for both domestic and international travellers, especially with the opening of international flights to and from Bali. This webinar is also very special because it invites many speakers who are experts in their fields and also collaborate with the Hawaiian Eye Foundation. The resource persons at this event, namely Allen Eghrari, MD from the United States, I Made Ady Wirawan, MD, MPH, Ph.D. and Harry Wicaksana, MD (Aviation Medicine specialist) who works in the field of Travel Medicine, as well as ophthalmologists who discuss various fields of eye health related to travel, such as IGA Made Juliari, MD, Ariesanti Tri Handayani, MD, Ni Made Laksmi Utari, MD, M. Biomed, and dr. Ida Ayu Ary Pramita, MD, M. Biomed. Webinars are also intended for general practitioners, residents, and ophthalmologists throughout Indonesia. The webinar participants were attended by a total of 234 participants in 2 sessions, consisting of ophthalmologists, ophthalmology resident, and general practitioners.

This online seminar will be followed by an HIV ocular webinar which is another flagship program in the Ophthalmology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This activity is planned to be held in February 2022.
