Let's Get To Know More About Strabismus
Strabismus is an eye disorder
which is also known as squint-eyed or cross-eyed. Crossed eyes are
characterized by a deviation in the position of the eyeballs, so that both
eyeballs are unable to see one object at the same time. This eye disease keeps
one eye straight while the other eye is pointed in a different direction.
Crossed eyes can occur in both
children and adults, and can be caused by a variety of underlying causes. What
might have caused crossed eyes? What are the symptoms and signs of the crossed
eyes? Can crossed eyes be cured?
The Department of Promosi
Kesehatan Rumah Sakit (PKRS) of Sanglah Hospital presents "NGUSIK" or
“Ngobrol Untuk Sehat dengan Gaya Asik” to discuss more about the problem of
crossed eyes. This program also presented our Pediatric Ophthalmology and
Strabismus ophthalmologist, dr. Ni Made Ayu Surasmiati, M.Biomed, Sp.M(K) and
guided by dr. Winly who is one of the student in Ophthalmology Program, Faculty
of Medicine, Udayana University.
