Didactic Course and Wet Labs “Micro Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)”

On March 15th-17th 2023, Didactic Course and Wet Labs “Micro Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)” were held at Bali Mandara Eye Hospital. The series of events for 3 days consisted of didactic course, wet labs, and live surgery streaming. Total participants in this event are 36 participants, who will later be divided into groups to alternate between the didactic course and the wet labs. This MIGS event also coincides with World Glaucoma Week which is celebrated every March each year.

There were 12 international speakers present at the MIGS event, namely Tosin Smith, MD., Indira Paudyal, MD., Leon Herndorn, MD., Omolola Idowu, MD., Ramya Swamy, MD., Davinder Grover, MD., Jonathan Myers , MD., Arsham Sheybani, MD., Erin Boese, MD., Ze Zhang, MD., Inder Paul Singh, MD., and Manjool Shah, MD. The first day carries the sub-theme "Subconjunctival Outflow: Tried and True", the second day has the sub-theme "Diving into the Angle: To stent, to Swell or to Strip", and the last day has the sub-theme "Other Pearls to Take Home". As the closing of this event, cases from Udayana University were shown and discussions were held with speakers from various countries. Overall the MIGS event ran smoothly and received enthusiasm from many panelists and participants.
